To qualify for Canadian Permanent Residence through the Hong Kong Pathway Stream A, you must generally meet the following key criteria:

Hong Kong Passport Holder: Possess a valid passport issued by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) or a British National (Overseas) [BNO] passport.

​Valid Temporary Resident Status: Hold valid temporary resident status in Canada (e.g., valid study permit, work permit, or visitor record). This is essential whether you are currently studying in Canada or are planning your future studies here.

Intent to Reside Outside Quebec: Intend to live in any Canadian province or territory other than Quebec.

Language Proficiency (CLB 5): Achieve a minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 5 in all four abilities (reading, writing, listening, speaking) in either English or French from an approved language test.
